This blog is for our journey to pick up little 'Li Na". Kathryn "Li Na" Connor was born October 9, 2006, the year of the dog,(just like her daddy) year of the dog. She is from the Guangxi Province (located in the southern part of China, close to the Vietnam border). We hope to pick her up the beginning of December.

Gale & MeiLing, you both look so happy and little LiNa is a lucky little girl. Thanks to Kitty I get to see this adventure on line. The pictures are wonderful, looking forward to more. Marge in Berkeley Springs
SO CUTE!! Keep those photos coming!
Loved the post on Walmart. The one and only time I've ever been in a Walmart - ever in my life - was the Walmart in Nanning. What an experience! The corporation apparently treats its American employees like dirt, but that store sure makes it easy for new parents!
I used to work for Wal-Mart, when I was an impoverished undergrad. I had punched out from my shift and was walking out of the building, and a customer had spilled Pine Sol, and I didn't know it until I walked through it, and slipped, fell, and dislocated my knee. I couldn't walk or work for three weeks, and Wal Mart wouldn't cover it under workman's comp because I had punched out, and had turned into a customer because I picked up a diet coke on my way out. Those medical bills went into collections because I had no insurance. Ugh. I sympathize with your Wal Mart pov, too. Though in Michigan, you can hardly avoid them. I am enjoying your blog--my wife just brought our daughter back from China and she was in Nanning. Your daughter is a darling, what a wonderful Christmas you will have this year.
I am loving the photos. LiNa is precious! How long till you leave for Guangzhou? Wait till you see how crazy it is there with all the adoption stuff every where.
